Hempel Globic 9000 Antifouling Experience

Experience report: Hempel Globic 9000 Antifouling
I used the Hempel Globic antifouling on our boat because it was supposed to offer protection for up to 90 months. Unfortunately, this product turned out to be a complete failure.

Durability:
Instead of the promised 90 months, the antifouling began to fail completely after just seven months. The hull was quickly overgrown with algae and mussels, which is absolutely unacceptable. The advertised durability is simply misleading and borders on deception.

Value for money:
The Hempel Globic antifouling is extremely expensive, but the high price is absolutely not justified. For the money, we would have expected the product to last at least half the stated time. Instead, we had to clean and treat our boat again after just a few months. This product is simply an expensive bad investment that only causes frustration.

Conclusion:
The Hempel Globic antifouling is not worth the money in any way. It doesn’t come anywhere close to what it promises and is a total disappointment. We strongly advise against buying this product.
Instead, you should look for a more reliable and cheaper alternative that really protects the boat.
There was no support or even a response from Hempel, we were left to deal with the problem alone.
